Canadian Golf Brands to Embrace 1.0
Canadian Golf Brands to Embrace
What I had originally developed in 2019 may be more relevant now than ever. I have updated it here, and this will be part of an ongoing series as I seek to inform you of some dynamic Canadian golf brands for you to embrace. It has been a fun. And I have ordered from many, if not all these brands. I invite you to do so as well. You may even find a new favourite!
TripleBogey Brewing Co. – I am guessing most of you already know about this. It is not exactly a secret anymore. But in the very, very early days, I will admit I picked up a case of TripleBogey for a golf getaway from Geoff Tait’s home. After that, I was hooked. And now, well, safe to say the growth of this Canadian beverage business has been astounding. Beer? Sure, but their cocktail collection may push beer down on their best seller list. It is my go-to for a reason so check them out.
Mulligans and Hackers Podcast – part of the overall revision of this post is this update. My guys, based in Alberta, make you feel like you are talking golf with your best friends. Honest, fun, and refreshing, Alvin and Chris have made me a podcast fan.
Kaddy Lac Golf Carts – not for consumer purchase, but at most Canadian golf courses if you are to rent a pull cart chances are excellent, you are going to get this 4th generation Canadian business who manufactures all their own carts on site in their Burlington, ON facility. I own a pull cart and use a Kaddy Lac at my home course, they are that good!
Levelwear – Do not ask my opinion, check Canadian PGA Tour stars like Corey Conners, Adam Hadwin or Taylor Pendrith all wear Levelwear. This brand has grown to be internationally renowned. Nice to see Canada up there with other golf brand apparel leaders. Of course, as many of us do, I own several pieces, and the quality and fit are excellent.
Cabot – The flagship courses of this growing international brand are the two Cape Breton courses, Links and Cliffs. A new course soon in BC will round out their Canadian presence, but it is courses in Florida, Scotland, Saint Lucia and more which are giving this leading Canadian golf course brand global accolades. For public players, Cabot tops many players’ bucket lists. And having played Cabot Links, I know why. If there were stocks in Cabot, this would be a strong buy recommendation for me!
Golf Canada – Our national body on the game offers public players excellent value through the purchase of an annual membership. The chance to track your handicap, insurance should clubs get stolen or if you cause damage on wayward shots, and even deals with industry partners, Golf Canada membership provides full value for all players. A portion of your membership will also support junior golf development, so we all win!
